The Man Who Walks With Bears
This Saturday on the Animal Planet is a show on black bears. Looks to be worth viewing.

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
I saw a good show about bears Sat. on Animal Planet. Had a cool segment about Yosemite Bears and all the break-ins and what they are doing about it. Don't know what the show was called.

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
I walk with bears. But only at night when they can't see me.

dude - I saw that too. "Compelling evidence that Bigfoot is alive and well and living in Washington State".

I'm not sure that evidence was so compelling. Anyone from Washington on here? Any truth to this? They said Bigfoot lives in a canyon known to locals as "Ape Canyon" between St. Helens and Adams.

Anyone ever encounter anything like that in the woods?

Rienhold Messner, one of the greatest Himalayan climbers of all time, doesn't climb anymore. He is now dedicating his life to proving that Sasquatch does exist. Personally I think he may have smoked too much hash above 28,000 ft, something he was quite fond of doing. Wow! can you imagine how mind-blowing that must be! Talk about losing brain cells!

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
I saw the bear thing Saturday too and I caught part of the Bigfoot deal tonight. Small world isn`t it?

I saw something, but I`m not quite sure what it was, but my brother, best friend and two other men I know all swear they saw Bigfoot. While I`m not sure what I saw, I do believe them, I remember them being so afraid as they talked about it and each of them showed us where they saw it.
We found big tracks, but nothing more.

Any of you people remember that old movie called "Sasquatch" from back in the 70's? Being a kid at the time it maybe me alittle scared of going into the woods similiar the the way "Jaws" made me leary of the beach.

m-nutz: A bunch of us went hiking this weekend withing a few miles of Ape Canyon. Sorry, didn't see anything resembling Sasquatch. But then those woods are so thick, that you wouldn't ever see anything brown/black that didn't want to be seen. We did stumble across a recent elk skeleton. Maybe Bigfoot had himself a feast?!

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
I love to slip into the woods before the light of day
and ease into the timber, in no hurry I make my way
I find a good spot that`s just right, up against a tree
alone and in the dark I think, something`s watching me
eyes follow my every move and I can almost make it out
I have to fight off the feelings, to scream and run about
and then there`s movement and I`m reaching for the light
my hand starts shaking, it`s a bit cold and not the fright
is Bigfoot for real and hiding out there behind that tree
then I have to laugh because, there`s nothing as wild as me

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
One bear dude, having to run from a chasing bear, wasn't so luckey.

He fell when the bear was close behind him. His buddys said his last words were a prayer in hopes that this bear was a Christian and wouldn't kill and eat him.

His buddy's also said as the massive bear stood up, growled angerly, lifted his front legs to savagely do in his prey, they heard the bear pray "Please Lord, bless this food which I'm about to eat..."

RE: The Man Who Walks With Bears
Anyone remember when Steve Austin (6-Million Dollar Man) fought Bigfoot cause the bad guys were using him for their evil deeds?

...and didn't Steve and Sasquatch end up working together to catch the bad guys?
