...and things don't look so good! 12:16:35 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “yikes” 12:18:55 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “It'll make one hell of a coral reef!” 12:20:46 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “This is pretty scary...I check that same website each day and was thinking of doing the same thing...yikes! Wonder how much $ just went under?” 1:04:25 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “I don't know if anybody's sent this link in already, but here is a site that shows what happened to a 'sand tracing' pendulum during the Seattle earthquake. I know...it's got nothing to do with this thread, but it's kewl.” 1:25:52 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “To echo kleetn . . .kewl” 1:34:02 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “THAT SAND TRACING IS AWESOME!!!!! If I ever move to quake-country...I'm gettin' one!” 3:25:16 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Jeez, if we were as careless with nuclear power as we are with oil, the world would be dead. Luckily, spilling oil only kills marine life, so who gives a sh!t about safety measures.” 3:28:01 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Hey Tommy! Right on dude!!! With Shrub and Dick (cranium) Cheney in orifice of the president we the oil guys are sitting pretty. The NRA wishes they had the kind of access that two old cronies from the domestic oil business can give to domestic producers. I can't understand all the whining liberal panty waisted puss-ies who are scared of a little drilling in the Artic National Wildlife Refuge. A few stinking caribou . . .who gives a rats as??? Just because the production of that barrel of spit from under the tundra won't mean DIDDLY to world production numbers. And that oil WILL flow straight into the aggregate supply of oil around the globe, not into some special "for texans, republicans and other morons" reserve, and the price of oil will NOT change one iota. The spot price of oil per barrell will still be determined by mideast production. THe desire to drill in ANWR is pure CRAP. OF the worst republican/conservative/sh-t slinging sort. Ted Stevens, Tony KNowles(D), Bush, Cheney and Norton oughta have been tied to the oil drilling rig off Brazil as it went down. BASTARDS!” 4:34:58 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Hey Chief -- BITE ME in advance. You are wrong and a moron. There is nothing to be gained by drilling in the Artic except lining the pockets of domestic oil producers. The self sufficiency is a pure bull-sh-t arguement and you can blow it out your tail pipe. let me tell you how I really feel . . .” 4:37:39 PM 3/20/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “In today's WSJ pA4. Bush is loosing congressional support within his own party for his thinly veiled get rich land grab for oil. Hope the ANWR initiative goes down in flames.” 8:57:18 AM 3/21/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Recent events are looking ominous.... The president walked away from a campaign promise and announced he won't try to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to combat global warming. The EPA suspended new standards aimed at cutting levels of cancer-causing arsenic in drinking water. Interior Secretary Gale Norton moved to kill rules requiring mining companies to post bonds to ensure that they clean up after themselves when they close their mines. Norton also named a prominent energy-industry lobbyist (J. Steven Griles) as her deputy. Energy Secretary Spencer Abraham, sounding alarms over "a major energy supply crisis," led a sales campaign for drilling in the Arctic refuge, contending that drilling is justified by California's electricity shortage. (Only 1 percent of California's power generation comes from oil, so whadafuh?)” 12:03:30 PM 3/26/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Yes and supplies from the Artic refuge won't provide much of an increase in the energy supply in the US and they won't be ready for many years. Not only that but the Cali problems seem tied to a poor deregulation pattern. They are also begining to look into the possibility that some electricity suppliers withheld electricity from California in order to drive up prices. Do you hear the drum beat to encourage voluntary conservation coming from the Bush administration??? Its only a wee bit more silent than the voicee discussing the possibility of letting consumer energy prices rise a little, or taxing inefficient - high energy items.” 1:13:50 PM 3/26/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “I heard CA is voting tommorrow wrt a 40% hike in energy rates! OUCH!” 7:17:12 PM 3/26/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “Bush for Prescident.” 8:06:26 PM 3/26/01 RE: I got a sinking feeling... “SUCKS A FAT ONE!” 10:18:35 AM 3/29/01
