Cookie Burning
Yesterday I had a run in with a box of Girl Scout cookies. It was scary. I lost. To clear my mind (and body) of a little (a lot) of sugar, baume66 and I went for a day hike. We went to Pocahontas State Park. It was a beautiful Spring day. We came across several places that we had never been before and sat at a dam for a little while and chatted. It was a great way to burn a few Thin Mint calories. Our backpacking trip is only a few weeks away and I can't wait.

RE: Cookie Burning
So you're telling me I'm not the only one who can sit and scarf down dang near a whole box of Thin Mints at a crack?!?! (didn't get any this year....... WHEW!)

And as for weather...... still very much winter here in NE Ioway. I think it's gonna be 10 degrees out tonight. ENOUGH OF THIS!!!

i love the Samoas ..... frozen.....fortunately, so does my son, so i can never eat the whole box.....this year, i kept a box at work......heh......since i am going on a trek next weekend, i spent this gorgeous spring day burning calories by doing some home improvements that involved sawing and hammering....and a little swearing....:)

.Lizs i gotta hand it to you Iwanians.....ya gotta love it to live there......i thought you lived in sunny california all this time...

RE: Cookie Burning
i-am-om...........I love it spring, summer and fall. WHOOPS!! It's spring, but still appears to be winter. And it's just been a bad winter in many ways. Plus, we had really easy winters the past three years. Heck, I was camping before the end of February last year. And heading to the Black Hills with little snow right about this time.

Everyone here is really sick of it; it's all anyone talks about: WHEN WILL IT END??? On a positive note: At least we're seeing robbins now! (course then people say there have to be three more snowfalls after you first see a robbin!! Had sparse snowflakes outside today in fact)

You are Buddur. That's why they aren't individually wrapped.

RE: Cookie Burning
lizs, I'm with you on the weather. Blah! It was nice Monday through Thursday last week but as soon as the weekend hit we were back in the deep freeze again. 18 degrees last night, windy and cold yesterday, when will it ever end?! I've been on a gear buying frenzy trying to stave off cabin fever but it's only partially effective. Maybe I'll have to try scarfing mass quantities of cookies instead - does that work?

RE: Cookie Burning
I have burnt many cookies, but only a few girl scouts. I hope to expand my scope and meet some boy scouts soon.
