LOL Mtn gal, your CASH post was really funny. It didn't strike me as partisan bickering.

Beaver eating is OK just as long as that is all you do to them. Any other activity can lead to over population.

Funny you should say that about over population, trinity trekker, look what the lack of eating beaver did to us rabbits.

CASH that is witty, but does Idaho really need another estrange group running thru its mtn.'s.

It's a group protecting the rights of hookers.
Somehow this seems to fit with the beaver pusher.

RE: Read here to save our environment
Wrong again mtn gal. An overabundance of fur can detract from the texture. It should at least be trimmed.

I disagree Ken. The more fur the better. It acts as a handy, built in knapkin!

RE: Read here to save our environment
I winter out in a cave, but come spring I`m in a tent and I live off the fat of the land.

To me, badgers taste a good deal like chicken if it`s done right!

Don`t need no lights, phones or motor cars
just a blanket of grass and a sky full of stars
so, I just scream out power to the people and make the man pay
money, you wouldn`t happen to have some you want to give away
I liked the thing you started there mtn gal, it`s kindda neat
is your sweetie a big fellow, or one I might could easily beat
not all that long ago I could have let my feet do my bidding
I can`t run from him so, you be sure and tell him I was kidding

This is a good thread for a good cause. I'll do my part by having some bumper stickers printed up.

"Save A Tree, Eat A Beaver Tonight"

Send $2.99/ea to C.A.S.H. S&H $1.00 per order.

Bigfoot I think I will take that as a compliment. My Hubby is 6?5? or so and about 230 lbs. He used to be a ski instructor and is fairly athletic. I don?t know if you could beat him or not. But I am the queen of monogamy. The talk wouldn?t bother him but no touching. Try it and if Hubby doesn?t flatten you, I will.

It was meant as one, but didn`t I say I was kidding?LOL

I got him on the pounds, but I`m not as tall. I`ve only been with one woman and I`m still married to her so, there`s no problems there. I`ve already caught my limit, I was just wanting to play!LOL

Read here to save our environment
Viewing the discussion here about the destruction of our environmental treasures I have seen that there is a need for an organization that will really do something. For this reason we have formed the Citizens Alliance for Saving Habitat. We are dedicated to the elimination of the demand for resource extraction. To do this and to aid you in your quest for an environmentally pure life we will accept the title to your internal combustion engine machines. Your major electric appliances and electronic devises will also be accepted. You may deliver these to our offices at any time. Donation checks are also needed. Just make them out using our acronym, pay to the order of ?CASH?.

Thanks, Mountain Gal. It's been so long since somebody started a discussion devoted to partisan bickering. With any luck this will degenerate to an outright brawl in only three more posts. Let's start counting...

RE: Read here to save our environment
Mtn Gal, I presume it will be acceptable if they send in the deed to their home and the lot it sits on, too? Because I'd like to see a few more yards reclaimed for habitat, particularly for the less endearing wild creatures such as badgers, wolverines, skunks, rattlesnakes, snapping turtles (don't forget to donate your waterfront lots, folks), and wild boars.

My mom stewed a snapping turtle once - I wouldn't dare eat it!

I love turtle stew now, tho.

I've eaten lots of feral hogs, too.

Whatta bout badger?
Has anyone ever eaten badger?

The Spartans cooked some Badgers in the NCAA Hockey Tournament the other night. As a transplanted Michigander (and fomer MSU student) in Wisconsin, it brought a little tear to my eye.

Beaver is best eaten raw with the fur still on.
