Dedication
Folks talk about dedication, committment and focus. Check this out...

This morning on BBC radio there was a story about a 54 year old brit, an engineer I believe. He began 9 months ago on the Peruvian coast with a row boat ( outfitted for open sea use I assume) 25,000 km later, thats like 15,000 miles he landed in Australia (today). He capsized 30 yds from shore and swam the remainder. First its ever been done. Impressive.

RE: Dedication
You've gotta believe that the Vikings weren't the first Europeans to get to America.

Some nutcase probably did it before.

RE: Dedication
At least he didn't capsize 30 miles out.

RE: Dedication
I also heard he had problems near Australia with sharks ramming his boat. Do they do that? I thought that was just in 'Jaws' (and the ensuing sequels).

RE: Dedication
I saw a quick blip on CNN at lunch. Apparently he had to fight off 15 shark attacks! The news footage showed him coming to shore. One of the first things hw did was drink a beer! Very cool dude.
