Great Lakes drilling

“There was an interesting article in the Detroit Free Press today (www.freep.com) about oil/natural gas drilling proposed for shoreline areas of Michigan. They are planned for some of the most beautiful areas of the state.

Ohio is also considering Great Lakes drilling. And it is legal in Wisconsin waters. Canada is more advanced - they are already drilling.

And I've also read about a natural gas pipeline that would be built on the floor of Lake Michigan near Chicago.
