Yeah, that's what I usually do when we car camp.”

“running girl, I think a person can carry one fifth of their weight and be okay. Make sure baume helps you adjust the straps on your pack. This way you can carry the pack on your hips or from your shoulders. It can also help to adjust the straps later in the trip to redistribute the weight if your hips or shoulders get tired. I hope I explained it right. Baume will know what I mean.

“We made it back. Awesome trip! No injuries, no getting cussed at (or the piss beat out of me), no blisters. We're getting cleaned up, having a beer and grilling some hot sausages. I'll get a trip report out soon (maybe tomorrow). Dropped the film off on the way home. We took lots of pics. We may even be able to get our picture on Phil's page now. One thing is for sure, running girl can climb hills!”
