“I am not really in the sport yet, but it's my goal to get fit enough to do it this fall.

This past weekend, I rode my bike from Bethesda, MD, to Clarksburg, MD, going through 2 regional parks (black hills, and little bennet).

I started on the Metro, to Shady grove, then got on a 3 lane highway, then cut through some neighberhoods, and then into the first park, and then back onto a main road, and back into a park before reaching my parents house.

I road biked, mtn biked, ran while carrying my bike, and even used public transportation. It was such a great adventure.

It took about 4 hours. I was passing people on mtn bikes in the park, after having already ridden for miles on paved roads. I even had slicks and no shocks on my bike, while the Mtn bikers had shocks and knobbies.

As you can tell, I was impressed with myself.”
