The last line should
Have read "Graveyard in morning"
That would have been best.

Withered wood, no glass
Dare not disturb memories
Yesterday's homestead

Sunrise does not stop
At the stone wall surrounding
Graveyard in morning

Thankyou for pictures

Stunning, newborn greens
Twilight's deep reds and pinks glow
Spring matures each day.

Beautiful, Lizzy.

Midwestern evening
Walking the path through iris
Intoxication

Hidden paradise
Living in flyover land
Hope no one reads this

I will cease with corn
Dare I mention the pork, too?

Your haiku license
Can be updated for a
Small fee to Dunny

You are safe on this thread as far as I'm concerned, Lizzy. BTW, the Wildflower Walk in the Konza Prairie is on Sunday, June 8th. Call 785-587-0441 for reservations. This hike is through a section that is not open to the public. Do you have thoughts of attending?
I could have put that all in Haiku, but Violin has been making some serious threats lately.

Hmmmmm, prolly not just for a one-day thing. KC is 8 hours for me. How far is it from KC? And otherwise there are some other things I'd be saving vacay time for (see the "to do" list of fun things thread... lol... you will be happy to see Godforsaken Nebraska and the southern Black Hills are on the list. Then, I go for the more typical spots. :-) )

Daughters want big hikerama
Wonder where to go.

Kansans understand
If you don't visit the state
Only flat and dry

Well, sorry you can't make it. There is another camp out Oct 12 - 16th at Scott County Lake. e-mail Andie Trembley at camplakeside@wbsnet.org.
