I'm not going to be able to make this trip - Higher Education has a graduate course in June with my name on the class roster.

However, I'm still very interested in getting up to the White Mountains this summer. If I go, may I still car camp on your land in NH to use as a base for day hikes? ....Please?”

I don't know what the verdict was on dawgies...I know that they were discussed and that they are allowed (leashed). PatchyG is not going, in either case...I think the Whites will be too much for her.

“I was just across the notch on North Kinsman this weekend, hiking up the Kinsman Trail from Rt 116. There is about 3 feet of snow up above 3200', but it's melting pretty fast. Some postholing, very wet feet, but fun.

I saw almost no one the whole trip, just four people on the summit who came up from Lonesome Lake.”
