Gas prices are rising.

“A bill was intro'd in Congress ( HR 1265 ) that will promote bicycle commuting.

Businesses get tax breaks for encouraging employees to use carpools or mass transit. This bill would extend the breaks to people who bicycle to work.”

“I heard on the radio tonight that the prediction for gas prices go'n up to $3/gal are wrong. The prices are supposed to be even HIGHER! $3.60 was the estimate for this summer.”

we (as in treebeard and myself)do ride the train every morning and every evening to and from work. But I still need my car to do errands and town. what about you? do you take the bus or train? do you own a car? if so do you use it?

I dont feel I need to defend the fact that I have a car and YES OMG I do use it.
we are getting gouged here in the tri state area because of the crap thats going on.

My tank holds 34 gallons. So, 34 gal x $0.10 per gal = $3.40 per tank. I fill my tank 2 times a month. 2 fills per month x $3.40 per tank x 12 months = $81.60 per year.

I don't know, it still seems cheap to me, but the company I work for is now getting ~$15.00 more per bbl than it was last summer. And, that money is being spent here, in the USA, rather than to Venezuala, or Mexico.”
