May Marble Mountain Trip

“Thought I would start a new thread to avoid cluttering up the Wallow trip topic.

Where: Marble Mountain Wilderness Northern California.

When: May 4th - 6th

Trail: Start at Lover's Camp on the Canyon Creek Trail to Marble Valley. From there, well, whatever strikes our/your fancy.

So far it looks like myself, my son Michael, Old Timer and Dunk are in. (Hey Old Timer, any chance of dragging your grand-son out of school for that weekend?)

Michael and I will be heading down Thursday evening and spending the night somewhere enroute. I'd like to stop at the Ranger Station Friday morning so I expect to get to the trailhead around 9:00 AM.

If we don't meet up at the trailhead, we'll plan to meet up along the trail or at the old Forest Service shack (if it's still there) where the trail meets the PCT. My thought is to camp near there or up into Little Marble Valley.

I tried to find a way out of a commitment I made a couple months back, and it looks like...no, it IS like... I must keep it to keep the peace (so to speak). I was looking forward to my first opportunity to play in the Trinity's, especially with someone familiar with the turf... but I'm gonna have to wait.
