Sol..great idea~! .on my drive back from Wilson creek this last week, I was pondering planning and posting a trip to shining rocks for the full moon in october.....they are awesome at full moon.......with hike to Cold Mountain. the fall sunrise view from shining rocks looking east is a most beautiful and inspiring thing.
as balsamwolf mentions tho, it would be best as non-weekend thing to avoid the weekend crowd.....or like hike in on Sunday... and here you mention it.!...”

solitary and i-am-om a Fall trip through Shining Rock would be great! i-am-om I like your thoughts about the hike being during the as well - as you know, that's my only problem with this great area - it can get crowded.

“Hey UTAHIKER, yep it's Digital. It's an AGFA I got it on sale for just under 200 last summer. Don't buy any of those cheap digital cameras like AOL sells. The more you pay, the better the pics! This AGFA was just enough for me.

Thanks Joy, sorry about the ads, but that's what you get with a Free webhosting site. Since I'm not working I can't afford to pay for a site and Fortune City offers 100 megs free. Are you guys getting more ad's than the banner ads at top and one pop-up? Most of the time when I check my site all I get is the banner at the top of the page.”

“I think I got just the banner ads and the pop-up (which I remember very well 'cause I hate pop-ups...grrrr) but as you say, the site allows free webposting so that's the trade-off. Thanks for the camera info..I'm off to do some digital camera research...”

“Nice site. I like the format of it. I personally am a fan of frames, especialy the perl script ones, but normal are okay. The only change I can see is centering the Title text. I have my resolution cranked up and it just looks a little funny with the text being almost centered, but not quite. It's Either that or right Justifly the Picture of the elk on the right hand side. Other then that it looks great. What editor did you use on it, or did you scriptit by hand?”

“hey deathmarch99, I used Trellix Web editor. You can download it for free. I like it it seems to work quite well. Thanks for your comments I'll try to remember them! :) My mind is kinda off tonight, I went hiking the Deep Gap Trail from Mount Mitchell today and darn if I didn't sprain my ankle. I was mad cause I'd just started the hike so I down 800 mgs of Advil and kept on going (round trip 8 miles). I did fine even though it was tender, well this evening it's purple and the size of a frickin football! Guess I'll be off my feet for a few days. :( Anyway, I hope to post the Deep Gap Hike pics in the Black Mtn section in the next day or so.”
