Big Foot, I am a conservative.
Gear is as follows:
Tent- Dana Designs Mojo, Eureka Solitaire, and I use tarps. The shelter I choose all depends on the weather, mileage, days on the trail, and how much gear is needed.

Sleeping Bag- The North Face?s Cat?s Meow (15-40 deg) and a mummy styled cool max sleeping bag liner, for summer nights.

Stove- Pepsi can, and the MSR XGK.

Pack- Gregory Mountain Products Forester and a crapy Kelty Trekker.

Pack weight- I would consider my self a lightweight hiker, but not an ultra lightweight.

So much for dialect. You'll fit right in with that Forester pack -- some big fans of that rig here. And on the tent side, I see you have a Solitaire for the light times. I just ordered a Gossamer for only $63 from Globalmart to see if I like something that minimal in places where I can't hang a Hennessy Hammock. So I relate to that quest to find the right stuff for the right situation.

Where on the East Coast? There are a lot of East Coasters always hooking up for hikes here.”
