This was a great weekend

“I had to write a quick trip report here to tell you all about my weekend. I ran across a friend from hight school a few weeks ago and he wanted to go backpacking. he lives in NC is married and has 3 kids and they all love the water . so I took them all back to Lost cove. We had a great time. “The weather in Michigan was the best...no rain, slight breeze, partly cloudy and warm sunshine, not too hot, not too cool...awesome weekend for hiking!”

“We went on our first overnighter of the season. We were joined by Nigal, Mrs. Nigal, Buddur (his dog tom) and Reformed Lurker.

Fun conversation round the firepit

“You should have seen everyone drooling over the Walrus tarps the Hyper/Joy and Buddur had.

Hyper, you forgot to mention Joy's wonderful cherry cobbler - yum.

Best creative use of fire: The moment Buddur set fire to both his shoes and the picnic table. You have to be a seasoned outdoorsman to be able to do that.

Anyway, it was nice to see that people here are actually living and breathing people.”
