“Hear I am sitting at a lecture on fitting boots in Damascus Va at trail Daze when all of a sudden out of the blue theres someone whipering MOM, MOM. I turn my head to see Jerbear. what a surprise! We had so much fun. He had been up hiking on Mount Rogers and had come down for the festivaties.Whispering Bill and I got to meet Kathy, and Jer got to meet MotherGoose( the legend AT hiker that has thru hiked 4 times with 1 yoyo)(so far the only woman to have done a yo yo.)I took them out to our campsite 6 miles out of Damascus on hyw 58. they stayed for 2 more nights. we had a great time together and hope to do it again.”

MT ROGERS-awesome place. Did the AT section and got caught in a "Hell Storm" was ok got under the siltarp and let er fly! Lots of memories up there for me met some thru hikers and angeled one into damacus.”
