Week Vacation
Hi, I am trying to do some research for a week vacation in mid July for three people. If it would stay at less than 500 dollars for the week and within the states of OH, PA, MI, IN, KY, and WV.

Thanks for any ideas

Check out Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield village in Dearborn, MI. It's really cool if you're at all interested in American History, admission is around $9-12 a person I think. You can definately spend a whole day there.

Huh?? Not enough information. First, is that $500 total or each? Are you backpackers and do you have all the gear you need? I don't count the cost of the food I bring because it doesn't cost anymore than if I'd eat at home. Could you be a little more specific? What state are you from? Are you near a major airport?

I flew to Tennessee from Michigan and spent way under $500. That includes all the new gear I bought leading up to the trip. :o)

Where are you starting from? Because if the $500 includes gas money, some places might be out of reach. What kind of backpacking do you like to do? In Michigan alone there is island camping in the Manitous, Lake Superior shore and forest in Pictured Rocks N.L., more rugged wilderness on Lake Superior at Pocupine Mtns. Wilderness S.P., or the big kahuna, Isle Royale. And that's just a few places in Michigan.

Oh is this a backpacking vacation? Wait, that's right, this is a backpacking forum! DOH!

Shoot, there's all kinds of lovely places to hike in MI. Do you want U.P or L.P ideas?
