Killer Deals “I just got a gear goodies package today... My first time ordering from Good prices, fast and free shipping. Just thought I'd share. Whats cool is that, in helping my friend gear up for backpacking, I have been able to save him a bunch of bucks just by knowing where to go for the best prices(web or outfitter). I always appreciate hearing about it when others find good sales. cheers! :o)” 11:17:04 AM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals 11:22:53 AM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Purchased: Dana designs shortbed, external frame backpack (great starter) for 99 bucks and a Mountain Hardwear 2nd Dimension, sleeping bag (15 degree, synthetic) for 110.” 11:29:20 AM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “I've ordered from them also and their prices and service has been top notch. I've been meaning to get a new sleeping bag from them.” 11:32:05 AM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Great site. I've purchased several things from them.” 11:55:23 AM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “They're very good and so is REI-outlet and Sierra Trading Post I've ordered from all three (repeatedly) and have gotten nothing but top notch service. Wait a minute... how did a hiking related thread get in here?... MATT!” 12:06:48 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “No, actually it's a repeat of an older gear/hiking thread.” 12:21:14 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Check out Campmor I've ordered from them on a number of occations. I haven't found anything on that site that you could get for less anywhere else. They have a huge selection, and it only took a week to get my delivery. Oh, and no sales tax. :)” 12:41:51 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals 12:43:26 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals 12:45:52 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Amen to good service from Campmor, I've bought and returned several tents, looking for THE one man tent.” 12:47:22 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “I've tried all of those and agree they are good. I'll also add https://www.moosejaw.com/ with warning for the humor impaired, these guys have a great sense of humor!” 12:56:04 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “LD--How heavy was that tent Bob had last month? Looked like a good one person.” 12:56:28 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals 1:00:41 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “I'll second (or third, whatevuh) Killer Deals and NMS for stuff. There's where I got my big yeller bernaner from at a pretty good deal.” 2:30:08 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “I've ordered from REI, REI-outlet, Northern Mountain Supply, Campmor, and Sierra Trading Post. I wouldn't hesitate to order again from them. I've had to deal with Customer Service at every one of these places and they're all top notch. Thanks for the link to Backcountry Gear, Rad. I'll have to check them out.” 3:52:17 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Mary, I don't know. I bought it but he is the only one who has used it. For me, the weight savings is not worth the sacrifice in room, so he just uses it for nights when he cant' sleep out. Glad he had it in Deer Creek. I will need to get it from him for July, my son and I are going camping. Did you get my email about one day float trips out of Page?” 4:04:13 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Yeah, thanks for the Backcountry Gear, Liz. That's a new one on me. You old enabler, you.” 4:13:31 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “i bought my snow peak titanium cook set from them. excellent sale price and service.” 5:30:47 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “I've been buying gear from Campmor since 1982 and they always treated me right.” 9:56:56 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “arclite, HUH?!?!??! Here's a fav of mine, which I think Lt. Dan clued me in on long ago. I've ordered a sleeping bag from here, and the boyfriend ordered a great Kelty tent. It's the equivalent of the Vortex 2, but I think was a special model. It's great! Outdoor Outlet in St. George, Utah” 10:08:05 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “Lizs, I just checked that site, dang! Great price on a Kelty Zen. I have one and it sure has been a reliable tent.” 10:57:45 PM 5/18/01 RE: Killer Deals “You may have to make a trip there, ldhiker. I've never been to the store; haven't been in St. George for awhile. Next time I'm driving from Vegas to SW Utah, will have to try to find it. (least I THINK they have a retail store, however, I don't know that it has their great web bargains) Now as to Sierra Trading Post. Well, if you're anywhere within 2-3 hours of Cheyenne, GO THERE!! I got my Asolo hiking boots there a few years back. In the catalog they were cut from $160 to $90. At the store I got a barely worn pair for $20. And I wear the heck out of'em and love'em!” 12:11:04 AM 5/19/01 RE: Killer Deals “One of the things that I often overlook are the resources that Matt provides to gear links, trail data, and other relevant resources. TT today has spoiled me.” 12:45:37 AM 5/19/01 RE: Killer Deals “Got me coupla them Dana Design paks from Northern Mountain. Fabulous. Goin' back to that website momentarily for some discounted Cliff Bars and Mountain House dinners for my summer Western expedition: Two weeks hikin' in the Pasayten Wilderness (WA)and another two weeks in the Wind Rivers on way back to East coast. Got too much gear already for these cramped quarters, but what can ya' do? I'm a gear-head. Until I can get some good therapy, there's no choice.” 6:49:31 AM 5/19/01 RE: Killer Deals “No Lizs, I was takin' to the Lizard King. He knows my weakness for new gear. SnowPeak titanium stove and cookset. Yep, got mine from Northern Mountain Supply. That was the first purchase I made from them when I joined. You get a nice discount when you join. They also send their stuff out FAST. Inexpensive gear, instant gratification. What more is there?” 1:09:04 PM 5/21/01 RE: Killer Deals “by the way, arc. i picked up that stove. it was too hard to resist, after seeing yours!” 1:15:00 PM 5/21/01 Free ground or 4.99 shipping buy $50 or more “http://www.northernmountain.com/killer.asp Some examples Garmin GPS 505220, Cigarette Lighter Adapter, Garmin, for Rino units, $39.95, Sale $19.99 27784, eTrex Summit, Garmin, waterproof, GPS hand held receiver, $229.00, Sale $199.00 551137, eTrex VistaC, Garmin, color screen gps, $321.00, Sale $299.99 505156, Geko 301, Garmin, GPS~, $246.00, Sale $229.99 550469, GPSmap 60C, Garmin, color screen gps, $428.00, Sale $399.99 550692, GPSmap 60CS, Garmin, color screen gps, $482.00, Sale $449.99 551448, GPSMAP 76CS, Garmin, marine and outdoor gps, $535.00, Sale $499.99 503813, GPSMAP 76S, Garmin, marine and outdoor gps, $430.00, Sale $399.99 503816, Rino 120, Garmin, gps with frs and americas detailed basemap, $267.00, Sale $249.99 550464, Rino 130, Garmin, gps with frs and americas detailed basemap, $374.99, Sale $349.99 540445, Rino 530, Garmin, 2 way FRS, GPS, Americas Recreational Base Map, $535.00, Sale $499.99 Suunto Watches 527618, X3HR, Suunto, Heart Rate Monitor, $219.00, Sale $169.00 Osprey Internal Frame Packs 519908, Aether 75, Osprey, large, lapis blue, internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 519922, Aether 75, Osprey, large, pinon green, internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 519907, Aether 75, Osprey, medium, lapis blue, internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 519909, Aether 75, Osprey, medium, pinon green, internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 519547, Ariel 75, Osprey, medium, eggplant, women's internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 519549, Ariel 75, Osprey, medium, lapis blue, women's internal frame backpack~, $239.00, Sale $179.00 512771, Luna 75, '04 Osprey, small, eggplant, internal frame pack~, $349.00, Sale $189.00 522109, Luna 75, '04 Osprey, xsmall, eggplant~, $349.00, Sale $189.00 last edited: 12/19/05 6:46:12 PM” 6:38:41 PM 12/19/05 “There's a new version of the 60cs coming out which uses flash cards btw.” 6:42:06 PM 12/19/05 tango “hey tango where did you get your zapper thing?” 6:43:59 PM 12/19/05 “It hasn't come yet.
