Guided Hike

“Anyone ever done a guided hike? Thinking of going west for the 1st time and thought this might be the best way to go to get the lay of the land etc...Cost a little bit and will haft to be around people(fellow bp's) so that is the concern. Any feedback would be nice..Thanks..Have a nice day....wish we were out”

“I'd just try to hook up with another TTer and save some money. If anybody wanted to see a place I was familiar with, I'd do my best to get off work to hike with them.”

“Amen to all above. Unless you are a total obnoxious creep, you will fit in here. You may want to think about your "style" a bit. Do you bail out of camp at 6 AM, push hard all day, rack up 10-12 miles and then hit the hay with sundown? Or are you a dauddler (SP?) out of camp at the crack of 10, hot lunch a couple hours later, and pitching the tent by 2? I've found there is a wide range of "styles" and most trips can accomodate a most anyone. Then set up a trip with someone and be there on time!
