“I own one if these bivys. I think the zipper set-up that lets you combine bag and bivy for one zipper entry and ESCAPE is great.
Great for warmer weather and if the bugs get to bad.

Got mine for 50.00 bucks I think.”

“I bought one this spring, to use a) to keep of light dew and frost when I sleep in the backyard, which I do a lot, and B)for bug and spash protection under the tarp and C) to see if I liked the bivy concept enough to buy a more expensive g-tex one.

It is very breathable, light, big enough for me (6'), and comfortable. It not very water resistant, and the zippers only mate with bags made after 1998 (i think) which eliminated all of my bags. Guess I'll have to replace the bags now.

I've used it for a dozen nights; I like it a lot and am considering the g-tex bivy now that REI has a 20% off coupon out.”

“I normally have an opinion on just about everthing or so says my wife, but dam if you don't have me here. So I won't give you one beyond that bivys are great but hard to cook in.”
