Yeah our snow is about all melted! However it's flurrying right now, and according to the forecast it's not going to get above freezing in the next 10 days. I think if it doesn't, that will be a record for this year!

It was supposed to snow here last night and didn't. I wish we would get some snow. My son will turn 6 in 3 weeks. The last time we got snow my wife was about 8 months pregnant with him.

Warning Description: Winter Weather Statement

Warning Date: 10:54 am EST on March 2, 2006

WarningSum:...Winter Weather Advisory Remains In Effect Until 11 Pm Est This
Evening...

Warning Message:Snow will persist through the day. The heaviest snow should fall
during the afternoon...primarily between noon and 5 PM. Snowfall
rates of an inch or more per hour could occur during this time
frame. Snow will also mix with sleet at times... especially along
and south of Interstate 84. Significant snow will end during the
evening...possibly as a brief period of freezing drizzle.
Storm totals of 4 to 8 inches are expected by this evening. Some of the
higher elevations in Sullivan County New York...or across the
northern Poconos could see slightly higher amounts.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.

Warning Message:Bands of heavy snow will continue to move across the area through early
this afternoon. The snow may mix with sleet or freezing rain at
times over northeast Pennsylvania. Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches
per hour will occur in the heaviest bands... with some thunder and
lightning possible. Widespread 3 to 6 inch accumulations will
occur across much of the area by 3 PM.
Near white out conditions at times will make travel difficult. If
you need to drive during this period... allow yourself plenty of
extra time to reach your destination.
For more specific information about storm total snowfall... refer
to the latest winter storm statement (wswbgm) from the National
Weather Service at Binghamton.

I took 4 of the grandkids up to Carver's Gap NC/TN this afternoon.

Freezing fog, very blustery with 2 to 3" of snow

none below 3800'.
