I stated “too bad” because it’s too bad that the guy is sick but then I stated that it’s against the law and he knew that. He admitted guilt. And this makes me a bastard.

I have a friend in Cincy that is dieing of AIDS and the only way he can keep food down is with THC. He, however went and got a legal prescription for it.

If They'd Only Put Med-THC In First Aid Kits
A few months ago a dood at work got hit by a piece of flying metal which embedded into his calf. Seeing how the blood was literally pouring down his leg and streaming onto the floor (while everyone else looked in awe watching him go into a semi-conscious stupor) I grabbed the inside of his thigh and used the pressure point to slow the blood loss. Anywho... during the confusion I yelled "We need some medical marijuana NOW!!!"

Some thought it was in bad taste, but the humour did make the dood smile.

when he's in jail
do i get to pay his medical expenses? that'd be just swell. i know i'm already paying for the neighbors on section 8's apartment and their food; i'd love to add this guy to the tab.
sorry, i don't usually enter into this kind of topic but the lady next door just told me how much she gets for welfare.
what really makes me mad is that this place is expensive to live in.

Your right, ductape.

We shouldn't be forced to help this guy. Hell, let's just go ahead and shoot him and put him out of his misery.

After all, the fittest survive, right?

I can't put any weight on...I already have a good appetite, but, I could really use a little help to increase my appetite, so that I can put some weight on...would someone write me a subscription so that I can get legal medical marijuana? Please...

Man! I hear ya on that one! When my wife was pregant, the people that live next door (in a HUD house, which she brags about paying only 250.00 a month. Killer? My house payment is 1,200.00) and asked her if she wanted any of her old WIC goods she got from da state from her third kid (10 months old). My wife almost took it. Her feeling was that we've paid for it any ways, so why not? I really had a hard time talking her outta of it.....

The "its mine, mine, mine" mentality. If the ultra right had their way, there would be no social services in this country. Screw the poor dumb bastards, those who are employed and healthy shouldn't owe any responsibility to anyone.

That theory makes me puke. Everyone on this planet owes a responsiblity to everyone else.

No, I don't have much sympathy for those who won't work. But bygod, I recognize my responsibility as a human to help those less fortunate.

Are my taxes so high they are killing me. No. I pay my share.

I would much rather help this poor guy overcome the pain associated with cancer than I would to buy a $2000 dollar screwdriver for someone to work on a $750,000 missle.

yea yea yea
my last post on the subject

i was comparing apples to oranges last night. the truth is, im still perturbed at this lady next door to me. the only reason she went on gov't assistance was b/c her lawyer told her it would make the guy look bad in court. she's perfectly capable of working.
then i see this bullchit. the neighbor saw a light and called the fire dept? leave the poor guy alone, for christ's sake. he's not hurting anyone. i know that's not how it works, but i hate to see this man's life ruined for simply doing what he thought would help him live a little more comfortably.

We need to Legalize, not Criticize!!

You wanna talk about missing out on some revenue? Look at how much the Government is missing out on Legalization of Buds! Phuck, we'd be able to bank roll 4 more wars!

SACRAMENTO — Bucking dire predictions by anti-drug warriors, the 10 states that approved medical marijuana laws over the last decade have experienced sharp declines in cannabis use among teenagers, according to a new study by a marijuana advocacy group.

California has seen usage among ninth-graders drop 47% since 1996, the year the state became the nation's first to legalize medical marijuana. Over the same period, the nation as a whole experienced a 43% decline among eighth-graders.
[...]
The study, released today, is based on data from national and state surveys, which show a drop in marijuana use by teens.

Although debate over medical marijuana is often shaded by concerns about increasing drug abuse among young people, the report suggested the opposite has been true.
[...]
That data "strongly suggests" that approval of medical marijuana has not increased recreational use of cannabis among adolescents, Earleywine and O'Keefe concluded. And the decline in many of the states with medical marijuana laws is "slightly more favorable" than trends nationwide, they said.

California, Washington and Colorado have all experienced greater drops in marijuana usage than have occurred nationwide. Only three states with medical marijuana laws — Maine, Oregon and Nevada — have lagged behind the national drop in teen marijuana use, the report said.

"If medical marijuana laws send the wrong message to children," the authors said, widespread attention to the debate "would be expected to produce a nationwide increase in marijuana use, the largest increase in those states enacting medical marijuana laws. But just the opposite has occurred."
[...]
"Perhaps medical marijuana laws send a very different message," they wrote. Teens may increasingly consider pot "a treatment for serious illness, not a toy, and requires cautious and careful handling."

British Columbia is really making headway in making pot legal. Seattle lowered it's busts on pot smokers to concentrate on more serious crimes.

its easier for a minor to get illegal drugs than it is for them to get alcohol, a fact DARE blithely ignores

My friend Maggie was given medicinal pot in pill form to help combat the terrible side affects of chemo. (She has brain cancer.) It's about the only thing that helps her feel better.

I think the pill is basically the THC from the plant which is what gets a person high. That's a great way to relax without inhaling fumes that kill your lungs. I wonder if the THC pills have any side effects? I don't think pot does except for lung damage and it maybe ruins your short term memory.

We hold a Hempfest in WA every year. This year there was more pot smoking at the fest. It was done very discreetly, but you could smell it everywhere.

Hemp oil is supposed to be good for people and pets, but it was in a trail pkg of dog food that I fed my dog and she freaked out that night and was so hyper. That was the only ingredient that was present in the food that is not in other dog foods, so I think that is what made her crazy. Maybe she was just had the munchies and I should have given her some treats?

I called the company about what happened to my dog that night I fed her that food and they didn't know of any side effects, but I didn't really expect them to say otherwise, but they did say it was taken out of the food they make now because hemp oil is not legal in every state and I don't know if I believe that since I think hemp being a plant with a very little amount of THC is allowed in every state. I think they lied to me??? I think they may have removed it because of side effects in dogs.
