KFC butter packets
Here's a handy tip. Walk into KFC and ask for a hundred of these butter packets. They work great on the trail and usually don't cost a thing. The employee has no idea what to charge. I'm stocking the fridge up now so whenever I see a KFC, in I go!

What about mayonnaise packets? Nothing like a little fat on the trail.

I fill my pockets with mayo packets every time I stop in a convenience store. Add 2 or 3 to all of my dehydrated dinners for the fat - doesn't affect the taste. You have to store them in the fridge or they will go bad after a time.

I like to pick up the small packets of dijon mustard. I hate the yellow mustard packets.

Fess up, Pantscandy
STOCKHOLM, Sweden (Reuters) -- Tourists were left scratching their heads in disbelief after finding 70 pairs of shoes filled with butter on an isolated mountain top in northern Sweden, local news agency TT reported on Thursday.

The local newspaper in the town of Ostersund thinks the stunt could be the work of a copycat artist after it received an anonymous tip-off that directed reporters to a Web page showing butter-filled shoes in a desolate Tibetan landscape.

The picture depicts a work called "Shoes with butter" by Chinese photographic artist Yin Xiuzhen and dated 1996, the agency said.

Locals have been debating the artistic merit of the shoes and officials are considering what to do with them.

Yuck!

I lit up the other night a a KFC over their "honey packets" till I read a bit closer. It's 'honey sauce' and is most corn syrup, which a osteopathic fan I hike with tells me is worse for your body than crack cocaine.
