The ExecutionView MessagesRE: The Execution “Wow, Snackboy, rock my world. I am crazed about chocolate. Thanks. Much like the racist thread, while I do have my opinions, I find these discussions a little too intense. You should all go make Snackboy's dessert and quit worrying over this.” 6:17:14 PM 6/07/01 RE: The Execution “Snackboy provides the missing ingredients in all of our lives. He is the chef of the soul. How come we don't hear from you more often?” 4:02:20 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “He doesn't want to get chocolate on the keyboard?” 4:31:22 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “Sounds like newgirl could lick it off. Dough” 4:34:52 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “Whoever wants to put this man in jail after all the people he has killed, maimed and devasted are just sick. Did you need to have one of your relatives killed to "feel the pain"? McVeigh has no right to breathe the same air as we do anymore. The death penalty will have to do, since we don't advocate torture. I think every person that was hurt by him should be able to take a turn at kicking his ass everyday until everyone gets their shot in. Can men get urinary tract infections? Don't give him any fluids, let him get an infection and don't give him any meds. He would pray to die, lol. Torture, what else can I think of, there are soooo many options. Tie him to a stake and pour just enough gasoline on him to make him slowly burn. Burn his eyes out with a hot poker. Put Bengay in his underwear. I don't mean that just one should be picked as torture, he should suffer through all of it.” 5:05:32 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “So let me see if I have this right Lipstick. You think he should die a horrible death? PMS is too good for him?” 5:13:08 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “I think we should put McVey to death and put Kleety in prison. In fifty years we can ask them both, "How was it?"” 5:15:38 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “bacpac, loo, giving him PMS would just make him moody. I think people need to get moody on his @ss. Unless, you sick the female survivers on him while they are PMSing. My answer, is yes, I think he should die the slowest, most horrible death possible.” 5:30:23 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “Remind me not to piss off lipstick hiker.” 6:04:05 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “Bacpac now speaks with the dead. Kewl. Jesus loves you. Everybody else thinks you're an asssshole.” 6:52:07 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “Whew! That's a relief. I was afraid Jesus thought I was an assshole too.” 6:57:08 PM 6/08/01 RE: The Execution “I agree with lipstick hiker, that scum should die a very slow and painful death.” 4:55:20 AM 6/09/01 RE: The Execution “I normally not for torture, but I have never been for "humane executions" either. I think I would go with real slow torture here. The real sick thing with all these murderers, is that they did not "humanely murder" anyone. It is always very violent. Why are we so worried with this small percentage of criminals, who have violated so many peoples rights, so many times? In this day of endless appeals and DNA evidence and all that stuff, if they make it to the execution chamber, I think the victim's family ought to have a say in the METHOD of execution and the option of watching. I know if it was me out there, I'd want a say in the method, and I'd like to have the option of watching. Just some thoughts.” 8:13:30 AM 6/09/01 RE: The Execution “I suggest being hung upside down by his big toes and being fed ExLax till his bowels are flow like a river. Then anyone who wants could take a stick and poke him to make him swing by his little toesies!” 9:17:46 AM 6/09/01 RE: The Execution “My sister was killed. I have never wished the guy who did it a slow horrible death. Now, that would be sick. I can't imagine eating myself up with that kind of hatred. Whenever I see someone on TV saying that they need for someone to die in order to feel "closure" it is obvious that this person is eating themselves up with hatred. I'm not that much of a masochist. We may assure ourselves that these people will never harm another human being if we kill them, but it is also assured that we will kill inocent people if we have a death penalty. No system is 100%. How would anyone here feel if they knew someone who was innocent of murder and was put to death?” 12:14:49 PM 6/09/01 RE: The Execution “I agree with you, arclite. Hey, were those monkeys flying outta my butt?” 4:22:28 PM 6/09/01 RE: The Execution “Arclite, I'm sorry to hear about your sister, my condolences. If I may ask, What happened to her murderer? How did you deal with it all?....My goodness, it must have been awful. Maine has not executed any one for ...well over a century or so. I think that after the execution he was found not guilty or some such thing. This DOES NOT imply he was innocent, but they may have found some procedural error. I'm not sure to be honest. But because of this, Maine does not execute those worthy of it. And yes there have been instances of murderers and rapists escaping and doing it again. That kinda gives mixed feelings. As far as someone being framed and paying the price by execution: That's murder by the framer. It's unfortunate that the state gets duped. Recently, a man was freed from jail when a girl, now woman, testified that she lied to collect the reward. Poor guy spent some 18 years in jail for a crime he never did or confessed to. Apparently they should have convicted by the word of two or more witnesses. I'd like to be able to get a hold of what really happens in cases like these. I don't think the news media does a good job portraying both sides of the issue. It's difficult to form a good judgement based on biased information.” 12:07:08 PM 6/10/01 RE: The Execution “Drunk driver, Uphill. That was in 1980, but thank you for the thought. It's an interesting story, one I choose not to go into into detail in a public forum. The cop was a drinking buddy of the defendant, he went free. Just another example of well intentioned government, eh, Navigator? Ah, the legal system, now there's a ripe candidate for big (and growing) government discussion.” 8:16:22 PM 6/10/01 RE: The Execution “arclite, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your sister. Even though you did not want to see the man get tortured or anything good like that, I'm sorry he didn't find the justice you would have liked him to face. I do understand that sometimes it helps certain people to look beyond what they would like to have happened to the criminal, and continue on their lives instead of being another victim of his crime by continuing on a long and unhappy life. You have to not get sucked into that black (endless) hole.” 8:35:20 PM 6/10/01 RE: The Execution “Thank you for thoughts about my sister, Lipstick. My notion of "justice" might surprise you. This man has to live with the fact that he killed my sister for the rest of his life. But what if he has no conscience about killing her? Sorry, I can't control that. Can you imagine not having a conscience about killing someone? I've watched interviews with victims of capital crimes years after the executions, most of the ones that wanted "eye for an eye" justice still haven't found closure. Imagine that? "Eye for an eye" justice sure doesn't seem to be working in the Holy Land. Anger seems to feed on itself, often doing incredible mental and physical damage to the person who feels it. Love longer, live longer. I like that motto.” 7:42:34 AM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “I think you have it together, arclite. (young&creaky)” 7:48:56 AM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Sorry about your sis arclite, and I respect your views on the subject. However, in the case of Tim McVeigh, we are dealing with a terrorist.... he should die. He considers himself a patriot, and had a beef with the government. If he went after the politician that he had a beef with, and tried an armed overthrow of the senator or government, I wouldn't support the death penalty. It is our constitutional right to overthrow the government for whatever reason we feel fit. Killing civilians, women and children is terrorism, not patriotism, and he should die.” 8:11:39 AM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Beaten by the buzzer.... I'll be damned!” 9:25:59 AM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “"It is our constitutional right to overthrow the government for whatever reason we feel fit ." Are you the Hiking/Drinking Bear? Go for it dude! It is also our constitutional right to talk sh!t about the "ever-growing and all-powerful-gonna-getchya government". Keep your powder dry and your hatchet well-scoured. Launch your attack on the evil minions of the US government and you TOO can be a poster boy for the Right-Wing Criminally Insane!” 11:35:58 AM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Drinking Bear.. have you ever read the constitution???? Where oh where does it say that there is a right to overthrow the governement (except by electing new people)?” 2:11:26 PM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “I think it says those things in the Radio Talk-Show version of the Constitution..... .....or maybe its in Mein Kampf.” 2:52:44 PM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Arclite, I gotta say, it's very commendable of you not to be embittered about your sister's murder. I do call it murder as he knew he was drinking and made no reasonable arrangements to get home. She is dead and he walks free. (even though he lives with it). A lesser man would be eaten up by it. You do well to put it behind you. There's a poem about serenity, : "To accept the things I cannot change". Once again, my condolences.” 9:32:57 PM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “arclite, my sister is gone also, under different circumstances, that's why it is easy to know where you are coming from. Unfortunately, for various reasons, I have not been able to cope with it. I'm sure both of our sisters would be glad to hear that we were going on with our lives, and that the criminal didn't claim us as their victims too. I am trying to cope, it hasn't been easy for me. I'm glad you have found a way to deal with it. I try to enjoy the good things in life, but sometimes it just makes me want her there to enjoy things too.” 9:55:49 PM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Buddah, I don't know about the constitutional right to overthrow the gov. I mean, if you wanted to overthrow it, why follow the rules anyway? I do agree about the terrorism part though. He killed all of those people and didn't even care. Why should we care enough to pay for his room and board for the rest of his life. His execution shows that we as a country are not affraid to take the necessary steps to deal with the sort of thing he did. I think allowing him to grow old in prision would have been a greater injustice then what happened to him.” 10:17:44 PM 6/11/01 RE: The Execution “Thank you Uphill, spirituallity helps. One of these days I may even learn to love Tom T. Now THAT would be a spiritual epiphany. I am so sorry to hear of your struggle Lipstick. People mourn in their own way and in their own time. My father died about three months before I graduated High School. It took me years to get over his death. Two things I am sure of: I am not in control of anything but myself, and many times things don't happen the way I would like. Such is life. I hope you find peace, Lipstick.” 1:04:26 PM 6/12/01 RE: The Execution “Thanks arclite. My father died 2 yrs before I finished school. I kind of expected it since he had a valve implanted in him that would only last 5 years. I did feel bad for dad since he only got to live to 49. Being 43 approaching 49, it seems even younger than what I thought as a child. I understand we have no control, and that helps. Maybe between my sister & my father, that's why I feel so strongly about criminals not living out a long life in jail.” 2:24:21 PM 6/12/01 RE: The Execution “Peace, brothers and sisters! As far as having a constitutional right to overthrow the constitution......oooooo, I'm gettin' brain-lock on that one!” 2:51:17 PM 6/12/01
