PB&J Sucks Revisited

“IN the search of someting to eat when I pack that does not suck - how about MRE's.

Anyone use them before - they weight about 1.4lbs.

Taste good? I have heard there is more food in there than for one dinner - maybe 2.

Any input?”

“Sorry SaltLick, hadda go there...you will find a lot of differing opinions on this one, many /most think they suc, have to much pakaging, etc etc etc...those of us who ate them in the military will tell you they are high calorie and will keep you alive, but there are many other food choices out there that taste better,Try the cookbook Mel sells as an example of the fair you can carry that will be lighter and MUCH tastier than any MRE.”

“I've had my share of MREs. Some I like some I don't. I find them too expensive and too heavy. You can make much better meals alot cheaper by selecting, add boiling water type items from the grocery store shelves.”
