Summer Trips?View MessagesRE: Summer Trips? “Kleetn, I was kidding. But right now I just want to get out there and sit on a sofa someplace. Sorry, gotta go. Bachelor party tonight.” 6:58:09 PM 6/21/01 RE: Summer Trips? “Kleetn, it takes about 5 or 6 hours to get to Joseph from Newberg so depending on where you live in P'Land you can add or subtract from there. That's the only trailhead I've driven to from the Portland area. Use to go there more from Medford but that was about an 11 hour haul. Right now we're waiting for my son's Babe Ruth tournemet schedule before we decide. If we only get three days we'll head up to G Rocks (north side). If we get the full four days we are planning, then it's off to Eagle Cap. Hey, how about that dude up at 3 Sisters, eh. Gonna day hike South, Middle and North Sister. Sheesh, what a stud . . . I guess. Well except for now they can't find him.” 8:32:50 PM 6/21/01 RE: Summer Trips? “Hikerchic, another thing about Pt. Reyes is that you have to camp in one of the 4 backcountry campgrounds, fortunately, Coast Camp is only a short hike away. photo 38 is Sculptured Beach” 8:41:54 PM 6/21/01 RE: Summer Trips? “ChinaChas, my son has his Sandy Koufax baseball tournament this weekend (actually starting tonight) also. Maybe we'll see your son's team in the World Series! You actually drove from Medford to Joseph? What a looooong haul! =:o” 9:14:48 AM 6/22/01 RE: Summer Trips? “My daughter's wrapping up Grade 7 this week, so to celebrate, we're doing a 3 nighter in Manning Park (Canadian side of the PCT) Then I'm off to the Stein Valley, for a 5 day 'in and out', through the canyon. I've got the Rockies penciled in for two weeks in August and two more in Sept. Summer's here, gang! Get out and enjoy!” 10:30:16 AM 6/22/01
