Jansport Backpack
A friend recently asked me if I knew anything about the Jansport Ranier backpack. I'm not familiar with this pack. Can anyone help me out with some info?

RE: Jansport Backpack
Jansport Ranier had several reviews listed at trailspace

Gear Review pages for trailspace looks like a pretty good consumer gear review spot.

Found 2 reviews on thebackpacker.com
review 1 and review 2

RE: Jansport Backpack
Arclite: I use the Ranier as my main pack. It handles loads up to 45 pounds pretty well. It has 5 or so external pockets for storing little stuff or stuff you need to access while on the trail.
The pack seems to be on the light side at 4.25 pounds for 5200 cu in - but it has held up well for me. The zippers and other hardware are of good quality.
I like the thumb loops on the shoulder straps. I also like the bar shelf on top to hold the tent and matress.
My think the pack is comfortable and easy to adjust for fit.

I think that's the pack my brother has. It's freakin HUGE!!!!
He's only used it twice but I think he likes it.
