Beautiful Pictures all 55 of them! Looks like you started at Tuolumne and exited at Edison, is that right? How many days on the trail?
I was going over trip plans again today and I was thinking I had never seen a pic of Purple Lake and you had several and that settles it... I'm staying there!!! We enter Lyell Canyon 4 weeks from today!!!

“When I wrote that, Grace, it was an abbreviation for Bulletin Board... I was just getting into the concept of backpacking, had decided in July of '98 that I wanted to the the JMT in '99, and posted on REI's Community, if I recall correctly, for an experienced hiking companion. Got about a half-dozen replies, and the one that clicked was my friend Jimmy.

We stay in touch often, and have plans to hike together again.”
