.....the kind outside yer house.
Replaced the spigot that never worked outside the house, and the shutoff valve inside to boot.

When leaving the hardware store with the new parts, I thought of how my projects always take me to the hardware store more than once. Well, sure enough, one of the old straightpipes sprung a hole in it when I had everything all together.

Made a second trip to the frickin' store. But I got a new spigot...that works!

RE: I Gotta Spigot!
I hate changing those things out. It seems like you have to do about 10 other things in order to fix one thing. Home Depot has made a killing off of us!!

God I'm glad I was born a female and don't have to mess with that stuff.

Home repairs are very simple. Purchase a tool box and in that tool box put in just two tools.
1. Cell Phone
2. Credit Card
Now you can fix anything and have time on Saturdays to do important things like hike and/or drink beer.

RE: I Gotta Spigot!
Flatlander has it right. Just had two plumbing events at two separate houses. The plumbers were young, pleasant, competent. So what if a leaky hotwater pipe under the bathroom sink comes with a $78 bill? Yet to get the tab on the two leaky toilet replacements at my mother-in-law's house. On the other hand, I swear less at the bill than I do when I try to fix something with my non-existent mechanical skills.

Buddur, ain't home owning fun?

So, walkingdude, you ever get those floors finished? Let's promise not to plan too many home projects for the fall so we can finally hook up for a hike!

Maryphyl, I do just as many repairs around the house as TWB.

And no, Flatlander, I don't use the cell phone. ;-)

Been to Zaleski enough times to warrent going to other places, Mr.Bear. Nice place, though! The N loop of Shawnee was the last S OH hike I did...with the Master Dirtbagger himself.
