Sounds like a great trip. I was looking at your map. Don't know how solid your plans are at this point. Your route through South Fla. takes you into some very highly populated areas. You only have one route in the Keys, but many once you leave them.
The Florida Trail comes up the center of the state.

That's the Florida Trail Asc. maybe they can help.
The Florida Trail does have some road walks, but also some nicer hikes. Might be a good option.
Be careful if you walk up the East Coast, drivers are not very courteous and not used to walkers.
Have someone local help you plan your walk though Miami if you go that way. There are places you do not want to be walking in that city. Hate to sound so negative. Not trying to be, just trying to help.”

“we will be following the new greenway trail up to Melborne Florida. it was just dedicated this last week. most of it is road walks up A1A but were out there to raise money too so some of this hike has to be with the people. I really wish we were doing the greenway trail all the way to Maine but I dont think the others in the group want to do the people thing to awful long. were really getting excited now things are beginning to happen fast I will let you all in on it as it comes down from the top.”

“may i introduce you all to mothergoose. i have told her a lot about all of you but you know very little about her. she doesnt like for me to brag on her but i hope she will fogive me. Mothergoose is very well known among AT hikers as she has compleated the AT 4 times. she is the only woman up to now that has compleated a Yoyo in one year. She has also done the Co. Trail and the PCT. she will be going with Bill and me on our 4400 mile hike from Key West to Cape Gaspe she is our planner person so questions of when and where she will have to answer .Im along for the ride, or walk whatever.she is the guide.Both Bill and I feel really lucky to have Mothergoose going with us. so please giver her a warm welcome to TT.”
