Hiking Addict in need of a Fix
Hey Y'all,

My hiking partner in Georgia just backed out of a trip we were planning the end of July.

Now, I don't have any thing going until the south rim of the Canyon in October.

Is anyone planning any trips (2-3days) in the next month or so that I can tag along on?

What's on all Y'all's agenda this Summer??

Hey Tex! I know its far from your stompin grounds, but come join us in September in New hampshire. The trip will be about a week, so it might justify your travelin'

But thats the only thing I'm doing that would justify someone travelin from out of town.

I'm not a maniac on the trail. The chainsaw is too much pack weight.

I've met & hiked with almost 30 TT regulars and all of them have survived being in the woods with me so far.

Belle and I will be passing thru TX enroute home from the West in late July. My last planned hike is in the Weimenuche Wilderness, in SW CO. I figured to dip south then east from there. I'm curious about the Big Bend area - Belle ain't allowed in the NP.

Any TX suggestions?

Where were you and Peaches gonna hike?

Wanna meet us somewhere? If so, are you flexible? I >prolly< won't know any exact date until we return to the trailhead in CO.

I have TT references :o)

Gojo, asking a gal you haven't met before whether or not she's flexible is sorta personal, dontcha think? ;o)

Have a great trip, honeychile. Sorry I won't get to see you this time. :o(

It's a good thing Sarabelle keeps him in line.

Just kidding, Gojo is a good guy. I've hiked with him & Belle a couple of times.

woodswoman,
I've been looking for someone to go to The land between the lakes in KY on July 16-20. I'm fairly new to TT, I've been posting for a couple of months. trice@mics.com if your up for it.

TX, Are you planning on hiking anywhere around the Northeastern states like PA, NY or NJ ? I would be up for a hike if you are.

Try bpbaby. She lives real close to LBL. I just met her today and she's pretty cool. She knows the area real well too.

in need of a fix for my garbage disposal.
I broke a glass bowl, some glass must've gotten in the garbage disposal and jammed it. Now it won't turn. I hear the humming sound, but it don't turn.

Tried the reset button
tried the broomstick
tried the allen wrench...but the whole freakin disposal moves.
I can't get it to turn 360 degree. It turns almost, but not all the way.

anyone?
how difficult is it to use the allen wrench on it? [difficult meaning...how much strenght do I need?] I tried but damn...the bolt won't move. So I wonder if I even turn the bolt.

you think it maybe frozen?
crap, I don't wanna install a new disposal. It's a pain in the behind.

Not sure how yours works, I freed a stuck one a few months ago, but it took a while with the allen wrench. I had to move it back and forth a lot and use a lot of force. But it came unstuck eventually.
