Panties? What about Bras??
The topic on panties was good and as the guys feel about their "boys" bouncing around, so I feel about my "girls" bouncing around.

Y'all prolly think being well endowed is fun..not always..

Where do you other ladies find sport type bras in larger sizes..like 40 plus?

I wear one when I hike to keep the girls under control..can't imagine a blister there..ewwwww!

What do y'all wear?

What do the guys like to see us wear, might be a better question, huh?

Well, guys???

Same way you deal the "boys." We was born wit 'em. Said it once and I'll say it again. Victoria's Secret, Body by Victoria collection, Racerback bra in white. TX, I couldn't tell ya' on that one. I'm just average.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
Well girls - if ya got big uns, us guys like to see you wearing something that provides some support. No sportsbras for the well endowed. But I'm not opposed to you girls going braless, if you are comfortable that way. Stonewear Designs has some really nice trail wear for women. Sexy in an outdoorsy kinda way. The clothing is designed by women, and they use Coolmax and similair materials.

TXWoodswoman - WOW!
newgirl - average? C'mon, give yourself some credit!

TX, Hind makes an awesome wicking sports bra. It's a 3/4 tank w/ a shelf bra built in *BUT* it's made for larger busts. I got mine at REI for $18! They were 1/2 off. I wish I would've bought a dozen of em! Comfy, cool and supportive...

I wear one of my regular bras. Much more comfortable than sports bras. I haven't found a comfortable one yet. Good luck on finding a comfy one tx!

Patagonia makes a great bra that doesn't chafe or smash ya...supportive up to a c/d cup.

I do not ware no bras. I got good teats, but I do not got no bras for all my teats. I got the bunch of teats- eleventy I theenk. I like to not ware no bras, any ways. I like for all my teats to be in the air and not get hot cuz I do not get swetty and stinky like peeple so it is reel hot and uncomfertbel if I ware a bras.

I do not like a bras when it is code wether, neither.

I wold bite off a bras if some buddy put them on me.

Some times my daddy wares a bras but I do not.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
It ain't the inches AROUND, it's the size of the CUP!

I wear a 36-C.

The sports bras without underwire don't hold "them" up where they ought to be.
The sports bras with out some kind of built-in cup just flatten the whole mess up against your chest wall.

UNflattering, and UNcomfortable.

And sweaty, and icky.

I think "lift, and separate" is the key if you wear anything C cup or larger.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
LOL @ mel!! That is sooooo true! Flat and pressed together cause the whole 'uni-boob' disaster, which is even more unflattering than the 'uni-brow' thing!

Best bra I've found for hiking in, is the underwire from Champion. I wear a 40D and so far I haven't been able to find a tank top with a shelf bra that actually fits!

Joy, does that company you mentioned have a website?

Newgirl - I suppose it might, but it's a pretty sight while it lasts. I don't imagine an occasional foray into bra-lessness for a "treat" would do much harm.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
Okay, ya' got me there. I guess it's more the everyday bralessness that leads to the "tribal" look. Maybe I am just young and trying to pretend that if I wear my bra faithfully it won't happen to me.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
m-nutz mentioned Stonewear Desgins. I have two of their tanks w/ the built-in shelf bra. They are the "Long Cross Back Top" They are the only ones that actually hold em up. The trick for me was to buy one size too small. According to their size chart, I should have bought a large (c/d) but I bought the medium instead. The tighter the top, the more support.

I wear them constantly for everything from hiking to yardwork to casual. Super comfortable.

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
You women are amazing. Most athletic women I know are fairly flat chested which certainly makes bouncy motion and pack wearing a bit easier. If I had any suggestions (that weren't smart-ass) to make your lives easier, I'd give 'em. When it comes to backpacking, "boys" ain't no problem compared to "girls".

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
as far as going braless causing sagging later in life....when you care about not sagging - wear a bra. When you don't care about sagging (and want to swing free) don't wear a bra. What does age have to do with it?

RE: Panties? What about Bras??
Well I have two kinds I like Columbia makes a nice sportsbra and Duofold. I really don't have to worry about large cup sizes LOL or even wearing a bra so I don't always wear one only when goin in mixed company.

Barb, you and I had this discussion on the Cumberland Trail trip..remember I told you I hated you??

LOL

and yes, swinging free from time to time is quite liberating for "all" involved, but I just don't make a habit of it..the "girls" don't need to be hanging out 'round my belly button!!

Also, I've increased my bench press resistance and added some cool fly exercises to strengthen the muscles..it has helped.

i prefer to use a pair of gaiters that can double as a bra. less weight and multi-use. panties are a waste of weight.

Indeed.

There was once a prince who acted strangely in that
He thought life was stupid and it was for him so
He made up a world in which he liked the things we liked
But he had different reasons why he liked them

He liked butter for its color
He would order toast and color
Waitresses, confused would utter
Sir, I've never heard of toast and color

He'd get angry and begin to choke them
The law would come, and they'd arrest and book him
So his life was a mess of trouble
Still he kept it up

He had dogs, a hundred cocker spaniels and he
Called them panties, 'cause they did that mostly, and he
Did not care at all if they would bark and fetch sticks
Run and jump, roll over, and play dead tricks

No, he liked them only for their panting
So he would run them ragged, but one day they got fed up
And chased the prince right up against the fence
And the prince was eaten by his panties
