tommy - I think the fly could hit the window in that case. He would probably perceive it as a fly swatter and fly away from it if he/she could.

If buttered toast always lands buttered side down and a cat always lands on its feet, what would happen if you tied a piece of buttered toast on the back of a cat and dropped it?

Violin, I've read of a new scientific discovery for renewable energy. You strap buttered toast to the feet of a whole bunch of cats and drop them from a height. Because the toast cannot land butterd side up, and the cats can only land on their feet, the cats will spin in mid air. This is called a buttered-cat array. The article was in Scientic American or some other magazine like the Inquirer. I swear.

Violin,

The cat will land on it's side. Because the buttered toast and the cat balance each other out therefore both will land on their side.

But, the buttered-cat array only exists in some parts of the world and is therefore, not a universal phenomenon. In other parts of the world, buttered toast strapped to the feet of cats is called dinner.

RE: If you don't know.....Ask?
A multi-purpose energy source, Baso4. Buttered cat would probably make good trailfood. Since it would be spinning above the ground, you could just nudge it along ahead of you with your knees, or tie a string to it and pull it along. No weight, and no space taken up in the pack. Someone needs to do a scientific trail test on this. I DO NOT volunteer.
