I'll be at Chimney Pond this weekend. Tomorrow I'll hike into Sandy Stream pond for moose watching (the calves will be about 2 months old now), then up to my lean to at Chimney Pond. Saturday - barring any t-storm activity - I'm hiking up the Dudley trail to Pamola Peak, with a side trip to the caves along the way. It's a great place.”

“Drove 18 hrs to maine on the 3rd.Saw our first moose on I 95 just before millinocket exit.
We arived at our camp bout 20 miles past baxter. we had a cabin, and caught 7 brook trout for supper .
The next morning at 4am we woke to rain but went on to baxter and abol campground.
The hike up abol seemed really easy and we made the peak at 9am and hung out there till 1130 it was so clear.
I met a few thruhikers and snapped a ton of pics but the bugs were really bad on the peak so we left went down saddle to baxter cut off and down hunt wich i thought was an awsome trail.
But then the rain came as we walked back to abol campground poured 30 min then the flies came back out for supper saw 3 more moose though.
Was a great trip saw 3 bear 5 moose in maine then drove to mt washington but there must have been 500 peaple there so we just partied in conway and drove back to ohio wich sucked”
