“Just saw an awesome PBS show about rafting the Alsek and the Kongakut Rivers in Alaska. This really had me drooling. Anybody interested in this type of trip?”

“Did 4 nights down the colorado from Moab to Lake Powell, and from that experience my answer is...HELL YEAH!”

“I saw the same thing the other evening. Boy!!! did that look like fun. I forget the name of the one they talked about earlier in the show that started in the "Gates" area and flowed north. But ever since spending last summer on the banks of the Noatak, I have been itching to get a inflatable kayak and plan a trip back up north to float some of those more tranquil rivers for a few weeks.

Anybody else have the same dream to try that?”

“I think it was the Tatshenshini River, Briar. Wasn't that an incredible program? I could just feel the peacefulness of the landscape from my own livingroom. Being there would be so awesome.

I'm in the process of planning a trip to the Colorado with some college buddies, Buddur. We've rafted the Chatooga and the Gaulley. The Colorado is the next logical step. I've been to The Grand Canyon and Lake Powell. As long as we're out there doing the Colorado, I'd like to hike The Canyon and kayak Lake Powell. I've got Harvey Buchart's (sp?) book on The Canyon and The Boater's Guide to Lake Powell. That's another good "must do" trip.

Those Alaskan rivers looked so beautiful. Anyone else interested? We could start planning something here.”
