Kanawyer Trail/Monarch Wilderness

“I checked the tt trail database and found nothing on this trail.
The 12/00 issue of Backpacker mag mentioned this as a 10 miler, the first five is a little usedpath thru the sequoias and would make a good overnighter if one were short on time.

I have a couple of days after llama rama to get back to sacramento to fly home.
Anyone have any experience with this particular trail?....I HAVE to see a grove of big trees while I am out west and a one nighter would be perfect. I would like to avoid the crowds at the really popular places and the author of this article said this is a little used trail.
they mentioned Kennedy Meadows trailhead.
would love to hear from anyone with experience on this trail...
