spy cops a plea
spy

For all the damage this guy is claimed to have done, he avoids execution and his family still gets his pension? What's wrong with this picture? I think this sends the entirely wrong message to the whole world. Our culture has become weak and impotent. I'm embarrassed.

I think they should peel his skin off and dip him in salt water.
He'll talk. Then execute him.

RE: spy cops a plea
On the contrary. Our strength lies in our ability handle adversity with rational calm and dignity.

(Did I just say that???

RE: spy cops a plea
Clinton pardoned democrats.

bush pardons repubs, or at least refuses to investigate the SEC laws his people already broke.

So this guy will have to register as a repub first.

RE: spy cops a plea
The way I heard it, the FBI decided that it was more important to get information about what he did than it was to get retribution. Is it really that important to kill him just to make a statement?

RE: spy cops a plea
gordon, How can you even compare the corrupt Clinton Administration to the dignity that George W. Bush has brought back to the Whitehouse?

Why do people excuse Clinton for his heinous offenses and then suggest that George Bush is guilty of them?

RE: spy cops a plea
He's probably more valuable alive than dead. Detain him, debrief him, and then trade him back to Russia for something we need (or not). Rabbitman, killing him would be satisfactory (and make a point), but less than usefull.

RE: spy cops a plea
He actually has the U.S. by the gonads. I guess many of you have forgotten about his trump card. Which is telling the press and the world about the his and the FBI secrets. That is a big can of worms that needs to stay closed. We don't need another spectical like we had with Tim, the whole captial punishment thing and the media blitz. The FBI needs to keep this whole thing under wraps. "Loose lips, sink ships" why let it happen again but this time in front of the eyes of a nation and world. Trust me, he has it coming to him, the FBI works in mysterious ways.
He is no Timmy Mcveigh but is prudy darn close. We had nothing to really learn from Tim that we had not already know. He was just a "lone wolf" that slipped through the fence. The FBI most likely knew of Tim as they do of many other reactionaries but did not chose to investigate his potential futher. There has to be a cover up or conspiracy in there someplace. Maybe this Spy knows something.

hey bacpac..
Where did I ever condone clinton's actions?

Somehow you paranoid right wingnuts think because I recognize the corruption in the bush administration that automatically makes bill a saint.

I am still waiting for the dignity dubya promised. So far he has delivered nothing but lip service. Meanwhile Karl Rove has already violated SEC regulations and Federal law for financial improprieties. But not a word from the same repubs who criticized clinton for whitewater.

bush lied about many things during the campaign. His drug use, his two drunk driving arrests, AWOL from the national guard, his draft evasion (Cheney's too), his arrest for theft in college, his partyboy reputation, and nobody mentions his association with a satanic cult in college nor his financial dealings in Texas with known organized crime figures.

republicans overlook his obvious character flaws and checkered past because he is one of the old boys network.

republicans would endorse and support Hitler if he ran on the GOP ticket.

A Defense Department analyst pleaded guilty yesterday to passing government secrets to two employees of a pro-Israel lobbying group and revealed for the first time that he also gave classified information directly to an Israeli government official in Washington.

Lawrence A. Franklin told a judge in U.S. District Court in Alexandria that he met at least eight times with Naor Gilon, who was the political officer at the Israeli Embassy before being recalled last summer.

The guilty plea and Franklin's account appeared to cast doubt on long-standing denials by Israeli officials that they engage in any intelligence activities in the United States. The possibility of continued Israeli spying in Washington has been a sensitive subject between the two governments since Jonathan J. Pollard, a U.S. Navy intelligence analyst, admitted to spying for Israel in 1987 and was sentenced to life in prison.
