I feel the "Chowbrador" is the perfect mix. I know several people who have them. Totally loyal to one person only, with all the friendliness of a lab, but not the hyperactivity. Un-aggressive, but very protective. They tune into your emotions very well and are very empathetic.”

“Steve hiker- We have a "chowbrador" (m-nutz, I love that term!). He is the smartest, most patient dog I have ever shared space with. At 15 he still allows children to tug on him, jump on him and attempt to ride him like a pony (he's a big boy). When he's had enough he simply gets up and goes on his way. Never a growl or nip.

I believe all dogs have varied personalities even within the same breed. Frodo has been loyal to the entire household, he doesn't seem to have a favorite. Well that isn't entirely true, his favorite human is the one who is rubbing his belly at that particular moment.
