We're down here in Gator country hanging at I-am-OM's House. She's taking us out canoeing tommorrow. Shoud be pretty fun. Maybe I'll grab a Gator and try to do my Steve Irwin immitation. NOT!!

We're at OM's house one more night. Today we took the Canoe & kayak out to Santa Fe River. Swam at Jenny Springs. Pretty cool place. I didn't know they made water that clear! My first time to snorkle. After that we went to Itchetuknee Spring. Another beautiful swim hole! After that we feasted on Pizza and saw the bat flight at University of Flordia. Saw no gators today. Bummmah.
Yo Rad, I also got to see the famous Purple Porpise.

Tommorrow we head out for Daytona Beach. Then St. Augustene, and then to Savannah Ga. Prolly will be home on Saturday sometime.

“Well, I'm back & I'm me again! hehehe

Went to Daytona for 3 days. I starting getting kinda sick that first day there. I almost went to the Emergency room that night cause I couldn't breathe, was cramping all over, and was running a fever.
The 2nd day at Daytona I went to a Doctor. He said I had Broncidous (I don't know how to spell it). Said it was from Swimming in cold @ss spring water.
3rd day in Daytona I felt pretty good. We decided to head on to St Augustine. On the way we stopped at Daytona USA and dug on the groovy race place.
When we gotinto St. Augustine we went to the old fort. After about 10 mins I got weak, My fever came back and I wanted to die.
Next day at St. Augustine I laid in the motel all day and did drugs to get well. Later that day I did agree to go to the beach (after we FINALLY figured out how to find the dam thing!). Didn't eat anything all day.
Last day of vacation I felt better. We drove for 12 hours back to Tennessee.
I'm feeling better now. Still haven't ate much yet. I've prolly lost 10 pounds. Maybe I'll be able to choke down some pizza tommorrow.”

“Weird, walkindude, my husband had the same symptoms (including the relief day and relapse day) while we were in Florida (south of Gainesville). He swam in the pool and at the beach, but not in the springs.”

“We were swimming just outside of Gainesville too. Beautiful places. I'll use a wet suit next time. LOL!

“towndawg...i agree with ya on the gulf side being better...but i think the other half of the traveling troup was determined to get to Daytona!”

“I'm not much on the Daytona side or the Gulf side. I can take the beach for about 3 days tops. I'm a Mountain Man. Going to the beach is only to keep the woman happy. I'd never go to beach own my own.. (Except Cumberland Island). The middle area around Gainsville was awesome though.”
