RE: Ohio Folks
Tarabull, do you and John want to ride with us? We got the family cruiser (station wagon). We can split costs and share some drive time. We both can take some time off work to allow a more leisurely trip.

RE: Ohio Folks
Hyper - First of all, thanks! That's really nice.

What time are you planning on leaving? John and I would be taking half days so we wouldn't be able to leave until early afternoon. So - it will depend on when you plan on leaving.

Also - we were hoping to take Sadie on her first "pakpaking" adventure. I don't want to impose on you like that. I'm not sure we'd all fit w/ the dog and backpacks.

It's too bad we can't all fit in my car w/ our packs... It's a company car so GAS IS FREE!!!!

RE: Ohio Folks
Tarabull, joy is taking a full day off, me a half. So after about 1230pm friday is good. We gotta drop the baby off and dogs to the kennel but that is a quicky. Sadie is more than welcome in the car. We actually have a dog gate to prevent our dogs from getting around too much.We fit Joy's and my packs,2 dogs a car seat with child plus Nigal and his stuff in the car on a trip to Zeleski, NO PROBLEM!

If I go, I'll be teaching until 2:20. Then I'll hit the road.

Hey, someone should suggest to the rangers that they fill the water vats with beer - artesian beer wells.

Or maybe during our hike Buddha Bear will miraculously change the water into beer - revealing himself to be the second coming of Auggie Busch.

If you think about it, packing a 12 pack 3 miles is really no big deal. Sounds like a plan!

Thanks Hyper. We'll keep you posted.

Buddha - You can't drink a twelve pack alone, can you? Let me know if you need my assitance!

Laqtis - you are very welcome on the hike. Keep checking back here for details.

I probably could drink a 12 pack, but really don't want to. 3 beers would be fine for me. I figured I'd share the rest! And come on down latgis, the more the merrier!

This is gonna be fun!

John and I are in for sure. We are both taking off early from work. We're not sure what that means for John yet.

Hyper/Joy - We're gonna have to pass on the ride sharing. We won't know what time John can leave work until that day. Thanks for the offer!

I'm still a definite maybe. Sorry. My world changes in about 3 weeks, so I'll have to see how things shake out.

I'll be on the road at 2:30 if I do. So, I'll roll in at 8 or 9PM. How far in are we camping?

BTW, Cleveland is only 2.5 hours from Michigan. I'll wave to you across Lake Erie.

John and I are still in.

(Sadie is a maybe... depends on weather. think she has asthma. i'll start another thread)

We'll be hiking in w/ the evening crowd. We both took a half-day from work. But w/ his job, we never know exactly what time he'll be able to leave.

I'm guessing we'll be there around 8ish? (That is assuming a 5 hour drive).

Buddha - I've always heard Cleveland is a fun town. Never had a reason to visit. Perhaps we'll come out to play some weekend!
