Great Lakes Diversions.

“Hey, I heard on the news tonight that President Bush suggested diverting Great Lakes water to the western U.S.

Now, it's not outside the realm of possibility that he was speaking without thinking. But, all people in the Great Lakes should watch this closely and be ready to man the barricades.”

“Don't you think we need a few more golf courses and swimming pools on the desert? I mean, people should be able to lavish themselves in water in the desert, shouldn't they?”

“Okay, apparently Bush's plan was to divert water from the Canadian side of the Great Lakes (and other Canadian sources) and ship it west. Nice end around of his own constituents, eh?
