Visit Snacks' excellent bping site
While I recommended it on the U.P. of Michigan Hiking thread, where Snacks modestly offered the address, I'll repeat that recommendation in its own thread, since this is a really good site with great trip reports. Very fine stuff on the Porcupine Mountains, lots on Isle Royale, and other trails, too. Excellent photography that made me really homesick for some trails I've hiked in the past. I don't know how to make a direct link, but someone will.

Nice looking site. I like the 'scrap book' appearance. The scouts must love seeing their trip, on the web. Good work.

I dig trail journals. I just can't get enough trip reports. Looks great.

RE: Try TownDawg's excellent site too
humanpackmule: if that's the case, follow the link under his pic on the TT photo page to TownDawg's hiking page. Nice stuff on Tenn. and Smokies hikes. Way to go Dawg.

Thanks for the feedback. No, I am not "Snackboy." The name I had "earned" and wanted to use was taken, so I use a nickname from work.

What was it Snacks? And at work did you get the nickname from eating the snacks or providing them (or -- moooowhaahahaha -- dining on your fellow workers, LOL)?

pekka: cool, thanks for the suggestion, I'm looking through it now. I'm just starting to get my own stuff online finally and I'm a freaking web developer!

I do however have some of the hikes my Scout troop has taken online. If y'all are interested the trip log is at:

Snacks!

That site is great. I spent about an hour reading it. Simple is good. Great pictures. Clear writing.

I especially liked comparing the two versions of the first Porcupine Mountains hike.

Really nice site, Snacks! Is that "Mr.T" with you in the first picture in "A Very Special Hike"? (It's a little blurry on this end...
