Buddur... Dolly Sods?

I see in past threads that you know a little about Dolly Sods Wilderness, WV. Do you know what trail to take to get to some waterfalls, and places to swim. Can I just follow Red Creek?

“The trail on the East side of Red Creek has some tributaries that have falls...in the shade, which is a bonus. The trails cross the streams so they aren't hard to get to.

The West side has falls but the trails don't come near enough to make them easy to get to.

All of Red Creek is great swimming...if there hasn't been torrential rain the day(s) before.

If you want to get away from the crowd, hike the West side of Red Creek where the maps don't show any trails. There are awesome campsites hidden only to those who don't venture off trail.”

I was thinking of hiking from Red Creek Campground to Red Creek, and then going left and heading back up towards Dolly Sods Picnic area by following red creek.”

“We took Blackbird knob to Red Creek and set up camp under a stand of pines. It was chilly, got down to 50 degrees during the day, major fog and mud! Lots of blueberries!”
