Big Frog
I was wondering where a good two day trail was on big frog mountain. I have topo map, but i'm not real sure on how to measure distances.

RE: Big Frog
The last time I was at Big Frog we did the Liclog trail. It was very grown up!
I like Barkleggin & Wolf Ridge the best. There is a spring on the trail just below Big Frog Mountain. Just hope people are keeping their horses out of it.

Big Frog Trail 5.5
Licklog 5.8
Wolf Ridge 4.1
Barkleggin 5.0
Big Creek 4.1
Fork Ridge 1.9
Rough Creek 2.8
Yellow Stand Lead 2.4

Hope this helps with some milage ideas.

RE: Big Frog
Appreciate it Walkindude, now what about a loop hike consisting of those trails?

RE: Big Frog
Start at Chestnut Mountain (1.3 forgot that trail.) Go to Wolf Ridge. Then BigFrog trail to Barkleggin. Take that one back to Wolf Ridge and then return back out chestnut Mountain.
I can't remember the miles but it's a great 1 nighter.

Watch out for bears. I've seen plenty out there. Never had any trouble but just be careful.

RE: Big Frog
You'd need a map of the Cohutta Wilderness in Georgia. Mine got trashed on the last trip there. Jacks River Falls is awesome though. Gojo is more familliar with the Cohutta's than me. Maybe he'll see the thread and help ya there.

The green stone, streamweaver, is soapstone I collected somewhere near Murphy, NC about 20 odd years ago. And yes these last 20 years have been rather odd. 8P
