venting....
I am suposed to go up to pictured rocks for a big trip on monday. But I am so sick it is not even funny. I have had this huge headache for 3 days now, and have not been able to function. My overprotective mother says i cant go unless I feel better. I hope I feel better. But now it feel like all the cogestion that I had in my head is starting to settle in my chest. And lets not even talk about the fever! I will be so very mad if I cant go just because I got sick. Any mircle cures, or good ways to fake out a mom?

RE: venting....
Hope ya get to feeling better. It's even more miserable to be sick on a trip than at home. I know!

adventuregirl,

I know the disappointment. I missed the Jordon River trip and the Red River Gorge trip last year due to circumstances beyond my control. If you can't go, there will be others. I know that doesn't make you feel any better but start planning future hikes while you're stuck at home.

Hope you feel better soon!

RE: venting....
I havent had a fever since early this morning, and I only slept for 3 hours today instead of the pattern of only being up three hours. Maybe just maybe I will be better by monday!

RE: venting....
Oh no, not your mom again, trying to hold you back, lol.

A fever is serious. You should see a doctor. This could lead into bronchitis along with a bout of asthma. Stay home, drink fluids, take advil and moniter your fever. Your mom is right on this one.

You feel your fever is down this morning? Don't fevers lower in the morning and peak at night?

RE: venting....
Imagine what our already exorbitant health care costs would be if everyone went to the doctor every time they had a fever!

Hopefully, we haven't heard from adventuregirl because she's healthy and backpacking. If not, I hope she's not too disappointed.

Keep us posted A-girl!

RE: venting....
Maybe she got out on the trail and got sicker and now is dead? or maybe brain damaged from a high fiver and is just wandering around the woods like some wild animal?

Oh no, we should have stopped her somehow.
