“Watched something on some paratroppers at D-Day last night. I had to stop watching after about ten minutes though, as they kept playing dumb heroic music in the background. Aren't these people's stories enough. Watched Finest Hour the night before, far batter just letting the people tell what happened in their own words.
I bet NBC ruins the Olympics by doing these crappy over-edited pieces with soft focus, slow motion and music, instead of just letting the event tell it's own story... grrrrrr. Really annoyed me for some reason.”

I also thought the perspective of the black freeman was interesting. After being there for a while he left because he was beginning to see part of why slavery came about and it scared him and angered him that he was thinking that way.”

“It's now a not so new Sony radio Ynami. I've not been listening to shortwave a lot these days, but I take it camping with me and catch either NPR (gotta get my dose of socialist doctrine, dontcha know) or the Beeb (ditto).

Somebody on Clear Channel must have spilled the beans to Sarge. I know he wouldn't listen to NPR and get filled with all that socialist crap, like Car Talk or Prairie Home Companion. Do they even have news on Clear Channel?
