Michigan - Jordan River Pathway

“I'm thinking about doing the Jordan River Pathway in the next couple of weeks. Summer is almost up, so I gotta go back to work soon, but I've only been on one trip this year. Does anybody have any "inside info" on what to expect? Anybody want to go?”

“Check with Sunshine. She and several others are from Michigan.”

“I didn't make it there for the TT group hike last year. Check with Joy, Hyperpacker and Nigal on this one.

I'd like to do it but can't. Be sure and post a trip report!”

“I've been wanting to. But, unfortunately, I have too much going on each weekend. (weddings, etc...)

“I've heard it's great. Sorry you guys can't make it. I might be able to go in a couple of weeks any way. I'll post when I have a definate time.”

“Hmmm, Hyper and I have a week off at the end of August but we're supposed to be replumbing the house. Jordan River Pathway is a nice weekend trip with gorgeous views and one really big hill. The river is like 90% spring fed and ice cold. We tried to swim in it last summer but it was too much like Superior water and we weren't dirty or hot enough to wade into icy water like that. Let me see if we've used all our "gramma, get outta baby-care free" cards for the summer yet and if we can postpone the plumbing. I think we probably can't but it won't hurt to ask.”

Thanks for the info. How about the weekend of the Septmeber 7th 8th and 9th? It seems that it's a little rushed with Labor Day coming up quickly and I have two fantasy football drafts late in August. Thinking about going up Thursday night and staying at either that campground that is real close to it, or if my friend Chris goes, staying at his cabin, which is in Grayling. So far, I've asked my sister, my friend Chris, who went on the Manistee trip and my friend Mike, who was on the Waterloo trip. Anyone else is more than welcome.”
