West Coast bp love
You know, I read a lot of comments on these threads about trail back east or in the midwest. Can I please get some love from my backpackers on the Pacific Coast.

That's 'cause us west coasters are out backpacking instead of talking about it.

As July comes to a close, I have 10 bag nights for the month. I haven't slept in my bed on a weekend for the last 6 weeks or so. Woo hoo, packing for this weekend (3 days, 2 nights) so gotta go.

Jchild, I'm looking for for a overnighter in the Sierras this weekend (I'll get whatever permit is available on Saturday morning). My last weekend home was Nov 4th of 2000, so I'm not stopping now! Get your gear together and lets go hiking!

My weekend trips are on my website if you want photo trip reports.

The last weekend I spent at home was the 1st weekend in June, that ends, unfortunately this weekend as I have a couple meetings at work. The rest of the weekend will be spent getting ready for 11 days in the Mammoth area, all evenings spent under the stars.

I just returned from an overnighter in the Olympics and I'm planning a dayhike for the rest of today and one tomorrow. I won't be able to this weekend as I will be getting marrried on Friday but on Monday I leave for a month in Lewiston, Idaho and I will get all kinds of bag time in.
So here's to the coast that rocks the most!!

I haven't been out since several weeks ago when the skeeters chased me out of DW (which barely outnumbered the people in the area). Will be climbing Shasta in a couple weeks, and then maybe pick up a trail later on when the bugs and such are reduced.

Oh yeah....I love you man! Now can I have your last beer?

Thanx for the love. I am relatively new to this backpacking thing and I'm headed to the JMT on the 8th for four days. I haven't even gone there yet and I already have some bonage the the pants.
Newgirl, I did get your post and thanx for the info. I haven't talked to my aunt yet but I plan too soon. I doubt I'll get up there this year with work and school, but if I get up there, I'll let you know for sure.
