“Bugs were minimal due to the cold air blowing in from the plains.

Sods is near Smoke Hole Caverns, outside of Petersburg, WV.

Canaan Valley, and Mount Snow are popular ski resorts in that area.”

Sods has a very unusual landscape!”

“yeah, there are open fields, and there are places where the trees grow practically over the trail...and there are patches of trees, mostly pines, with virtually no undergrowth under them...just a covering of pine needles on the ground. we saw a few places like that that looked like really good campsites. where we camped was awesome...we took some pics, but they didn't come out, prolly because the fire was in them.”

“oh yeah! i almost forgot the best part. so, we're at Pizza Hut, right after we've been hiking for like 3 hours, and i've been looking forward to pizza and beer forever. so Tarpy orders a beer, and goes to the car to get his ID. and while he's gone, i order one, and this waitress looks at my ID, and calls over the manager. they think it doesn't look like me, and won't serve me because i don't have a second photo ID!!!!

now, if you're not in the military, and you're not a student, why the hell would you have 2 picture IDs?? so, then, i had to admit my elaborate ploy: get lots of fake credit cards, a fake social security card, and a fake license--all to get one beer at freakin Pizza Hut in the middle of freakin nowhere.

NOT! i was so tired and hungry and PMS'ing that i was hovering on the edge between laughing uncontrollably and bursting into tears.

so then Tarpy popped a cap in her ass, yay!”
