“One of the weirdest places I ever went was a concert in Tarpy's neck of the woods. It was billed as 'Woodstock 2' before they had the corporate one up in NY. They should have just called it a biker rally with music. What a wild day!

Some kid thought it would be a good idea to ride his rice-burner through the crowd. The real bikers started shoving him back and forth. He looked like a pinball!”

“I went through Rushmore when they were having the Sturgis Rally. Though the Harley riders looked "rough" they were all cordial and polite. They even offered my wife a ride (she politely declined!) They'd quietly comb out the bugs from their beards (some may have been abducted Amish women) and smile pleasantly at all the families. Of course, these folks were only the 98%.

One guy with an enormous gut passed out in the middle of it all. It was a very hot day and the concert was in the middle of a treeless field so this little hippie dude curled up in his gut shadow for a little nap. It was adorable.”
